Fred and Suzee admit they have lived a charmed life, holding memberships to world class clubs around the country. In addition, they are supporters of the arts, and are animal advocates, passionate about pet and animal care and well-being. Suzee grew up on a ranchette stocked with a menagerie of animals including horses, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, 4-H pets and any other wildlife that took refuge on the family property in San Juan Capistrano.
While living in Truckee, Fred was engaged with the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, and became a certified dog walker. One of his greatest joys was adopting Hero, a loving rescue dog. Fred and Suzee recently became members of the Living Zoo and Gardens, and Fred volunteers weekly: WONDERFULLY WILD | THE LIVING DESERT ZOO & GARDENS.
While living in Truckee-Tahoe, the Oberfelder`s company Popsicle Suites, Inc. actively supported the arts, donating products, sponsoring silent auctions, and dancing in local ballets. Fred was active in Rotary, and Suzee supported the building industry as a member of CATT - Contractor`s Association of Truckee-Tahoe. She recently updated the family membership with the San Juan Capistrano Historical Society; her parents joined in 1961.
